Kindred Spirit Behavioral HealthMichelle grew up in foster care and faced many challenges during her childhood. When she turned 18, she aged out of the system and had to figure out adulthood with very little support. She later lived with her mother, but the relationship was difficult and did not work out. After that, Michelle went through a period of instability, including times without stable housing. She eventually met someone, got married, and had a son. Over time, the relationship became unhealthy, and Michelle made the hard decision to leave in order to create a safer, more positive life for herself and her child. Even with everything she has been through, Michelle enjoys spending time outside and relaxing with a good movie.
Michelle recently started a new job as a receptionist at a local dental office and is working hard to create stability for herself and her son. Unfortunately, with her new employment, her housing assistance, food benefits, and childcare support were significantly reduced. Michelle's son has autism, and finding childcare that understands his needs has been challenging. She has been fortunate to find a provider where he feels comfortable, is thriving, and has adjusted well, but the cost is difficult to manage. To avoid disrupting her son's routine and to maintain her employment, Michelle is requesting assistance with groceries. A grocery gift card would help provide meals and household essentials while she adjusts to the changes in her benefits and continues working toward long-term stability for her family. This is wish 2 of 2.
