Sam’s life has been shaped by many transitions. After losing his mom at a young age, he entered the foster care system at just 8 years old and moved in and out of different foster homes until he eventually aged out. Recently, due to challenges with previous foster parents, Sam had to move out and begin living on his own. Now in college, he is working hard to keep moving forward while also trying to figure out what path he wants to take in life. With so many recent changes, Sam is navigating a lot at once. Balancing independence, school, and the emotional weight of these transitions hasn’t been easy. Still, he continues showing resilience as he adjusts to life on his own and explores his future. Like many young people who have experienced the foster care system, Sam is in a season of discovery, learning who he is, what he wants, and how to build the life he deserves.

Sam's wish is for a new mattress so he can have a comfortable and supportive place to sleep each night. Currently, Sam is sleeping on a couch, which makes it difficult for him to get the quality rest that everyone deserves. While he is grateful to have a place to sleep, a couch is not designed to provide the comfort and support needed for long-term use. Over time, sleeping on a couch can lead to discomfort, restless nights, and difficulty feeling fully rested. Having a new mattress would make a meaningful difference in Sam's daily life. It would provide him with a dedicated space of his own where he can relax, unwind, and get a good night's sleep. Quality sleep is important for both physical and emotional well-being, and a comfortable mattress would help Sam wake up feeling refreshed and ready for each new day.
