Eddie is a bright, lively boy who loves playing basketball, going to the playground, and reading books. He is very intelligent for his age and often asks thoughtful questions and shares ideas that surprise the adults around him. He also enjoys building things and teaching his younger brother. Eddie and his brother entered foster care after the unexpected passing of their mother. With no father in the picture, they are now being cared for by a close family friend who is doing her best to meet their needs while keeping the brothers together.

In early 2026, Eddie’s mother passed away unexpectedly. With no father in the picture, a close family friend began the process of fostering Eddie and his brother to keep them together and provide stability. Before she passed, Eddie’s mother had told him she was saving up to buy him summer clothes and take the boys to Great Wolf Lodge for his brother’s birthday in July. Eddie has held onto that promise and has been grieving deeply. He often cries for his mother and asks his foster parent if they will still be able to go, now that she is no longer here. While his foster mother is doing her best to care for the boys and provide what they need, she is struggling financially. Being able to honor this trip would not only meet Eddie’s need for support and stability but would also help preserve a meaningful promise from his mother and bring comfort, joy, and lasting memories during a very difficult time.
