Mecklenburg County Guardian ad LitemJackson, a talented high school football player and a twin, stands tall at 6’3”. His dream is to play college football, and he dedicates his summer to intense workouts in the mornings, followed by afternoons spent working at Pizza Hut. Despite not being a fan of school, he tolerates it, finding history to be his favorite subject. Always respectful, he uses “yes ma'am” and “no ma'am” in conversation. When he’s not honing his football skills, Jackson enjoys unwinding with music and playing video games.
Jackson's birthday is just around the corner, and he’s been eyeing a new pair of headphones, a big deal since he hardly ever asks for anything. He’s a quiet kid with a great sense of humor, and he’s super focused on finishing school. His dream is to play football at the college level and, hopefully, make it to the NFL one day. Every morning, he’s up at 5 a.m. for workouts, often stuck waiting for rides, so those headphones would really help him during his training and give him some entertainment too. But Jackson's journey hasn't been easy. He grew up in a low-income home with a single mom who did everything she could for him, but her health gradually declined. Tragically, she passed away in October 2025. In an instant, he and his siblings lost their mother and their stable home, leading them to navigate the challenges of the foster care system, all while grappling with their grief and uncertainty about the future.
