Maya has faced many challenges throughout her childhood. Growing up in a home influenced by drugs and unsafe activities, she took on the responsibility of caring for her five younger siblings from a young age, often stepping into a parent-like role. This environment exposed her to trauma that no child should endure, and she is now receiving the therapeutic support needed to heal. Despite the deeply painful experiences she has gone through, Maya remains brave and resilient. She is working hard to overcome obstacles like difficulty concentrating, emotional ups and downs, and trusting adults. Her strength inspires those around her. Maya lives with her siblings at their grandparents' home, where she continues to shine in school and finds joy in hair and nails.

Myla shares a bedroom with two of her sisters, and a bunk curtain set would give each of them a private, defined space of their own. It's licensing-approved and would go a long way toward easing the daily friction of a shared room.
