Melissa spent several months in the foster care system before being adopted. Although she was grateful for her new family, she faced many challenges with her adoptive parents. After overcoming numerous hardships, Melissa is now studying art therapy at Arcadia and is embracing her newfound freedom. She is a talented young woman who enjoys drawing, painting, and photography. Melissa also finds comfort in her collection of plushies, which play an important role in her life.

Melissa filled up her current sketchbook and is ready to start a new one. As an art therapy major, drawing is a core part of both her education and her personal wellbeing, and a new sketchbook would let her keep sketching, brainstorming and practicing her craft.
