A Greater HopeJacob is a kind and sweet boy who is extremely resilient and often takes on a caretaker role within his family. Although he is not currently living with all of his siblings, he does everything he can to make sure they are doing well.
Jacob has expressed frustration with his current circumstances, particularly his inability to live with his biological family. The resource parent has been proactive in helping Jacob develop healthy coping strategies by encouraging participation in recreational activities. During a recent trip to the park, Jacob played a large outdoor chess game, which appeared to help redirect his attention and provide a positive outlet for managing his frustration. A large chess set would help him so much.
