Journ and her five siblings entered foster care due to concerns about abuse in their biological home. Although they are currently living in separate homes, Journ makes a conscious effort to stay connected with her siblings, whom she misses dearly. Fortunately, she is residing with a family she knows well and has lived with before, which provides her with a sense of comfort and familiarity during this challenging time. Journ has a bright smile and a love for playing outside, always eager to stay active. Despite the difficulties she has faced, she remains hopeful and looks forward to the possibility of being reunited with her siblings one day.

Journ has had some trouble in school and has difficulty processing and attending. Her foster parents got her a tutor who recommended this program for her for the summer months to keep her on track to enter first grade in the fall. Due to her difficult upbringing, Journ never had anyone to help her through her learning differences.
