The Friends of Foster CareAnderson is a creative teen currently in residential treatment working hard toward the goals that will help him transition out in the next few months. Life in the program comes with real restrictions that have made things tough to cope with lately.
Anderson is very restricted with the gifts he can receive for his birthday while he is in residential treatment. His caregivers have suggested a gift card so they can sit down with him and help him make safe choices. This small amount of autonomy would mean so much to Anderson, who often feels like he has no control over his own life.
