Emilie is a teen residing in foster care. She has really been struggling the last few months. She has faced some tragedies in her life that no one, especially her age, should have to deal with. She is doing her best to push through this trauma and wants to better herself. She loves to write and English is her favorite class in school. She likes the color purple, as long as it's not too girly, and her favorite food is pizza and Alani drinks.

Emilie recently discovered that journaling is a great coping skill for her. She loves the feeling of getting all her thoughts out on paper; it’s almost like a weight being lifted from her mind. At the moment, she’s just using some notebook paper, but she really dreams of having a beautiful journal with a lock to keep her private thoughts safe and secure.
