Matthew lives with his younger brother and his father, who is a single father. Matthew is very quiet and enjoys playing video games and watching television. Matthew faces some difficulties retaining information at school, but despite these challenges, he continues to try his best and put in strong effort in his studies.

Matthew is a youth preparing to enter his final year of high school and graduate soon. He is asking for new shoes because all the ones he currently has are no longer giving him the comfort and support he needs throughout the day.
