Lluvia is a transition aged youth who has chosen to be in extend foster care after having been system involved since she was 13-years-old. Lluvia is the firstborn girl of 8 siblings and grew up always caring for her siblings, while also caring for herself. Lluvia is incredibly responsible, resilient and motivated. She also has a newborn daughter. She is adjusting to motherhood and has fallen in love with her daughter. In addition to being a great mother, Lluvia is a student working toward becoming a Physical Therapist or Physician Assistant, as she has always been interested in working with others and improving their quality of life.

Lluvia is living in her first apartment with her newborn daughter but her unit does not have central air conditioning or a unit installed in the window. As a result, she has been using a portable air conditioner that is at least a decade old and a hand-me-down. Lluvia's apartment has reached up to 90 degrees even with the fans on and the portable AC blasting this summer. Lluvia is in need of a new unit to help her and her baby stay cool during this season so that they can be safe and comfortable in their home.
