Journ and her five siblings entered foster care due to concerns about abuse in their biological home. Although they are currently living in separate homes, Journ makes a conscious effort to stay connected with her siblings, whom she misses dearly. Fortunately, she is residing with a family she knows well and has lived with before, which provides her with a sense of comfort and familiarity during this challenging time. Journ has a bright smile and a love for playing outside, always eager to stay active. Despite the difficulties she has faced, she remains hopeful and looks forward to the possibility of being reunited with her siblings one day.

Journ is excited to start first grade this year and is hoping for a new backpack. Kindergarten was challenging for her due to her placement in foster care, but she is ready for a fresh start in her pre-adoptive home. With the help of her pre-adoptive mom, she picked out a backpack that she loves. Journ is really looking forward to being a big first grader!
