Alexis is a creative and determined young woman who has faced a challenging home life and foster care experience, yet she still has much to offer. Her journey through foster care began at the age of six, and she has lived in four different foster homes. One adoption attempt fell through because she didn't want to be separated from her brother. Alexis is musically talented; she plays the guitar, piano, ukulele, and a bit of trumpet. She has started recording her own songs and is considering a career in music. Despite her troubled past and inconsistent life circumstances, she remains very optimistic and is always eager to solve problems. Alexis is also generous and enjoys sharing her kindness and energy with those around her.

Alexis will be moving into a new apartment for her first time in August! She is excited for this new chapter of independence and growth as she goes out on her own! Though she recently earned her license, she does not have a car. She would love to have an e bike to be able to commute to her college campus faster (she takes the bus daily) and to be able to expand her job search area. She would also love to be able to take her high-energy dog out with her as she rides. Having a reliable mode of transportation will allow Alexis to continue to be motivated to attend her classes and maintain her high GPA.
