Teaira is a former foster youth from Los Angeles County whose lived experiences have shaped her lifelong passion for serving others and creating pathways of support, healing, and opportunity. Through her work in higher education, she has the privilege of serving former foster youth and students experiencing homelessness, advocating for their success and helping create spaces where students feel seen, valued, and empowered to achieve their goals. Recently becoming a first-time mom has deepened Teaira’s appreciation for the importance of community, compassion, and nurturing the well-being of others. Her personal journey has also inspired a growing passion for holistic wellness, particularly the restorative practice of sound baths and the healing power of mindfulness, reflection, and intentional connection. Teaira believes that true wellness encompasses the mind, body, and spirit. Through service, storytelling, and wellness practices, she hopes to continue creating spaces that foster healing, belonging, and transformation for herself and the communities she serves.

Teaira is wishing for a baby carrier to keep her baby close, safe, and comfortable while keeping her hands free during daily activities and outings. Receiving this gift will provide her with essential everyday support as she continues honoring her late foster parents' legacy of unconditional love and care.
