An electric scooter while Jenifer saves for car repairs

Jenifer, 25 years old, MI

Samaritas Child and Family Services

Jenifer has faced numerous obstacles in her life and it has been a struggle to overcome them. She was homeless after aging out of foster care but now she is in her first apartment. She has started working and feels more hopeful for the future now that she has some stability. She also has a great support network. A community has come together to try and help guide and support Jenifer through this difficult time in her life. Many people are rooting for her!

Jenifer is looking to get an electric scooter to help her commute to work and attend important appointments while she saves for extensive car repairs. Her vehicle recently broke down and needs several thousand dollars in repairs, which is currently beyond her budget. Without reliable transportation, even simple tasks like going to work, grocery shopping, and attending appointments have become incredibly challenging. An electric scooter would provide her with a dependable way to get where she needs to go, allowing her to focus on saving enough money to fix her car. Having this reliable means of transportation would significantly ease her stress and help her maintain her independence during this tough time.
