Generation Hope - NOLAAlexis is attending college, where she is pursuing an associate degree while working toward her long term goal of studying Criminal Justice and becoming a detective. She is a devoted mother to two young sons and is committed to creating a brighter future for her family despite having limited support. Alexis is passionate about building meaningful relationships and continuing her education as she works toward her career goals.
When Alexis' car transmission gave out, it took her independence with it. Now she relies on Lyft rides and favors from friends just to get to work, school, and her kids' school — costs that are eating into the savings she needs for a new car. An e-bike would change that. Her job site is only 3 miles from home, close enough that she could get there quickly and safely on her own, without waiting on someone else's schedule or spending money she can't spare.
