Marciano is a busy boy who does a good job protecting himself. He was removed from his home due to his siblings experiencing abuse, but he luckily did not have many of the same experiences happening to him, which he feels guilty for. He is glad to be placed with them in a new home and feels relieved that his older sister is happier again. He loves playing with animals and super heroes and wants to be a truck driver when he is older.

Marciano is earning new privileges this year as he gets older, and one of the biggest is being allowed to walk home from school on his own for the first time. It is an exciting milestone, but it also comes with real responsibility, and having a way to communicate in case of an emergency will give both Marciano and the adults in his life real peace of mind.
