Amaya is a resilient young person who has faced many challenges, including instability resulting from her parents experiencing homelessness and struggling to plan for the family's needs. One of six siblings involved with the system, she currently finds comfort and connection living with two of her older sisters. While her oldest sister has aged out of care and her two younger brothers are in a different home, Amaya cherishes every visit and moment she gets to spend with all of her siblings together, as these family connections bring her a great deal of happiness.

Amaya is very excited for her upcoming 7th birthday, especially knowing that her entire family will be coming together to celebrate her. She is particularly looking forward to a special shopping trip with her mom to pick out a birthday gift just for her. Because she has always loved going to Target and spending quality time shopping with her mom, receiving a Target gift card would make this surprise outing a meaningful and unforgettable birthday experience.
