RJ is filled with excitement as he prepares to start high school with his favorite cousin, eager to join the basketball team and embrace this new chapter of his life. As the oldest of six siblings, he feels a deep sense of responsibility, especially since some of them live in different homes and he doesn't see them often. Living with his beloved grandma has been a source of joy for him, but with her declining health, the kids have found themselves moving around again. Despite these challenges, RJ remains strong for his little siblings, determined to be a pillar of support so they can face their circumstances together with resilience.

RJ will need to walk and take the public bus to get to school each day, which can be quite an adventure in itself. Unfortunately, he hasn't gotten any new school jackets for this year, and the one he truly desires is the school spirit jacket. This particular jacket not only represents the school’s identity but also fosters a sense of belonging among students. I believe that wearing it would significantly boost his confidence, as it would help him feel more connected to his peers and a part of a larger community. Being able to wear that jacket would undoubtedly make him feel good about himself and enhance his school experience.
