Citlaly is excited for the first day of school, looking forward to making new friends and learning new things. However, her mother is struggling financially and cannot afford essential back-to-school supplies, such as a backpack, folders, and pencils. Despite this challenge, Citlaly remains hopeful and dreams of starting her school year well-equipped for success, as they navigate these tough times together in search of a solution.
