Barbie was placed in care at the age of 7, but she has recently been reunited with her mother. She loves playing sports and enjoys her squishies. Barbie is determined and very independent; she has had to mature quickly out of necessity. Now that her mother is doing better, Barbie is thrilled to be home and wants to spend quality time with her. Both of them are currently working hard to rebuild their lives.

Barbie is excited to start second grade. She has never had many friends and often feels excluded at school. Barbie believes that if she had "cool and nice" clothes, she would feel more confident in making friends and that people would be nicer to her. A few months ago, Barbie was returned to her mother, and they are working together to manage their finances. Unfortunately, buying cool and nice clothing is not within their budget. A couple of nice outfits would boost Barbie's confidence and give her the courage to take on the new school year.
