Genesis is a current pre-nursing student in college and the single mom of a 3-year-old son. She works full-time overnights as a nursing assistant in a skilled nursing facility, which is ideal because it lets her dedicate her days to studying and gain hands-on experience to propel her future nursing career. She serves on Generation Hope's Scholar Leadership Council so that she can be a voice for her fellow participants and grow her leadership skills. Genesis is brave and dedicated to building a successful future for herself and her son.

Genesis is restarting college coursework this semester after taking a leave to navigate significant challenges at home. While she has been working full-time, she has been able to rely on rides from family and friends, but now that she's headed back to school and her campus is farther away from home, she needs assistance getting to class. For Genesis, transportation assistance reminds her that she is supported as she makes strides in building herself and her son a bright future. This assistance would be a huge relief for Genesis, especially since classes start soon.
