Preferred Behavioral Health GroupLayla is a resilient high school honors graduate who is preparing to attend a four-year university to major in History with a minor in Archaeology. Throughout her youth, she demonstrated remarkable dedication by serving as a peer tutor, participating in the Honor Society, and self-teaching Italian with dreams of working as an archaeologist in Italy. After being placed under the legal guardianship of her maternal grandparents due to childhood neglect and abuse, Layla engaged in trauma-focused care to heal and build positive coping skills. While maintaining top grades, she also took on caregiving responsibilities at home for her grandmother, who lives with multiple sclerosis. Following the tragic passing of her beloved grandfather—who served as her primary provider and support system—Layla continues to showcase inspiring perseverance as she pursues her higher education goals.
Layla is wishing for a compact, dormitory-approved refrigerator to help store food and manage her daily living expenses! Having her own fridge will allow her to keep fresh groceries on hand, prep budget-friendly meals, and supplement dining costs. This practical addition to her room will provide convenient daily support as she stays focused on her educational journey.
