Joshua is being adopted by his forever family after spending two years in out-of-home care. Joshua loves playing sports and being outside. Joshua was very behind academically and developmentally when he entered care and had made much progress in the last 2 years. Joshua finds comfort in the family's cat and being in nature. Joshua likes playing basketball and practicing his shots when he is not playing on his rec team.

Joshua has spent the summer working on his basketball game, and a light up basketball would let him keep practicing his shots even after the sun goes down. It's a fun way to encourage the commitment he's already shown to the sport he loves and keep him outside doing something he's passionate about. For a kid who's made so much progress, this is a small gift that keeps him moving forward.
