An electric scooter for Serenity who needs to get to work without losing an hour by walking

Fostering Great IdeasSerenity has overcome many challenges throughout her foster care journey, experiencing multiple placements and group homes while being separated from her younger brother. During her time in care, her mother ended contact with her, and her father was incarcerated. Despite these challenges, Serenity has shown incredible resilience and determination. She is now living independently in her first apartment and working toward building a stable future for herself and her family. Serenity has a young daughter and is eager to welcome her second child. Serenity enjoys drawing, has a caring heart, and is always willing to help others when she can. Her strength, compassion, creativity, and perseverance are what make her truly special.
Serenity needs a reliable electric scooter to get to work on time and stay safe. As a young mother to a toddler, Serenity is working hard to provide for her family while navigating the challenges of relying on public transportation. She currently takes the bus and spends nearly an additional hour walking between stops just to get to work. An electric scooter would make a tremendous difference in her life. It would shorten her commute, help her arrive at work on time, and give her more time and energy to focus on her job and, most importantly, her daughter.
