Christy was born prematurely at 5 pounds and faces challenges with her eyesight, hearing, heart, and hyperactivity. She is currently receiving speech and occupational therapy to support her growth and development. Christy loves playing outside and tumbling, and she lights up whenever she hears music, often jumping and dancing along. She is a kind, friendly little girl who brings joy to everyone around her.

Christy is working hard on her fine motor skills, especially writing and cutting, and because children with Down Syndrome tend to be strong visual learners, her family has been encouraged to help her make personalized books based on her everyday experiences. A portable book binding set would make this much easier, letting her family put together simple, sturdy books like "Christy Goes to the Park" or "I Feed My Fish," paired with real pictures of her feeding her fish or cleaning the bowl, right at home whenever inspiration strikes. Having the right tools on hand would make these personalized books a regular part of Christy's learning, giving her more consistent practice with the skills she's building. Christy loves social interaction and wants to do what the other kids around her are doing, and these materials would help her learn, grow, and feel included right alongside them.
