Department of Children and Families, ConnecticutHeavenly lives with her grandmother and sister. Heavenly has endured several traumatic experiences, including separation from her parents. Her journey has also involved multiple hospitalizations, which have contributed to delays in her academic progress. Despite these challenges, her grandmother has remained a strong advocate and an unwavering source of support for Heavenly and her sister. She believes deeply that Heavenly is more than the challenges she has faced and that, with the right tools, resources, and encouragement, she can continue to grow and reach her fullest academic potential.
Heavenly’s wish is for a printer that she can use at home to support her education. Having access to a printer would allow her grandmother to print school assignments, educational materials, worksheets, and other resources that can provide Heavenly with additional academic support tailored to her needs. A printer may seem like a simple item, but for Heavenly, it would be another important tool to help her keep up with her schoolwork, strengthen her academic skills, and build confidence in her ability to succeed. Granting Heavenly’s wish would help give her greater access to the resources she needs to keep learning and moving forward.
