Maira is a loving, devoted mother who enjoys spending quality time with her children and staying involved in their lives. She especially loves attending their games and cheering them on from the sidelines. Since 2024, Maira has been navigating life with lupus, but she continues to focus on her family and making meaningful memories with her children. During her free time, she enjoys doing puzzles, creating art, watching movies, and having relaxing family nights at home. Maira has been living with lupus since 2024, which has brought additional challenges into her life and placed a financial strain on her household. Because of her illness, Maira can currently work only part-time, which has significantly reduced her income. Between caring for her children, managing household bills, and covering health-related expenses, there is very little money left for unexpected needs. Maira has had the same bed for approximately nine years, and it has become badly worn. The springs are beginning to come through the mattress, making it extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. She has been doubling up blankets on top of the mattress for extra padding because buying a replacement is currently beyond what she can afford. With Maira working limited hours due to her health and doing her best to keep up with her family's necessities, a new mattress would provide much-needed comfort without adding another financial burden. A new mattress would give Maira a safe, comfortable place to get the rest she needs each night.
