Ya’Zyla has been in out-of-home placement for quite some time. She lives with her twin brother, and they share a very close bond. They were removed from their father's care but remain hopeful of returning to him in the future. Ya’Zyla loves spending time playing games with her brother and their resource parents. She is caring and attentive toward her brother, always looking out for his best interests. Since he is developmentally delayed and nonverbal, Ya’Zyla is particularly thoughtful and protective of him, which makes their sibling bond very special.

Ya’Zyla is looking forward to her next visit with her dad. He told her that when he visits, he plans to take her on a special shopping trip to Target so she can pick out a present to celebrate starting school and doing well in all her classes. Ya’Zyla was especially nervous about starting school without her twin brother. She misses him at school, but she is beginning to make new friends and is becoming more comfortable in her new school environment. She is proud of herself for adjusting to this new experience and continues to look forward to spending time with her brother and dad.
