Mikhaio is a young child staying with his mother at a friend’s home while they wait for an opportunity to enter a shelter. His family is going through a difficult housing transition, and his mother is working hard to provide stability and meet his needs during an uncertain time. Despite the challenges they face, Mikhaio’s mom remains focused on keeping him safe, comfortable, and cared for. With limited space, resources, and finances, even everyday necessities can become difficult to replace as he grows.

The weather turned cold fast, and right now, Mikhaio doesn't have much that's actually suited for it. Most of what his family has on hand was meant for warmer months, and with housing instability making it hard to plan or budget ahead, pulling together an entirely new seasonal wardrobe just isn't realistic right now. A Walmart gift card will provide him with fall clothing, such as long-sleeve shirts, pants, warm sleepers, sweatshirts, and layering pieces that can adjust as temperatures continue to drop, in both his current size and the next size up. Having what he needs to stay warm would take one real expense off his mom's plate while she focuses on finding a safe, stable place they can finally call home.
