DCS became involved with Amber's family when amber was 2 years old. Amber and her sister resided with their grandparents when her parent's "took" her and her sister. Their whereabouts were unknown for 6 years. Amber has resided in group homes for several years. Amber is very positive and friendly. Amber does well in school and in any social situation. She love's makeup and fashion. Amber would like to become a pediatric nurse.

Amber has experienced circumstances that have required her to navigate life with challenges that many of her peers have never had to face. Despite these challenges, Amber continues to grow, learn and work towards a more stable and hopeful future. Her wish is to have a cell phone of her own to give her the ability to stay connected with supportive adults, friends and other important adults meanwhile she seeks employment.
