Alexa is a devoted single mom who has spent much of her life fighting to build the safety and stability she was never given as a child. She survived years of severe sexual abuse by her own family members and, as an adult, found the courage to speak up and help hold two of her abusers accountable, both of whom ultimately received life sentences. She has also survived multiple experiences of domestic violence, yet she has continued choosing to rebuild rather than allowing what happened to define the rest of her life. Alexa has found healing through fitness and nutrition. Taking care of her body has become something deeply personal to her after spending so many years feeling unsafe in it. Exercise has given her an outlet, helped her rebuild confidence, and created a sense of strength and control that trauma once took away. She has become passionate about making fitness and nutrition feel realistic and approachable, especially for women who may already be carrying more than most people can see. What stands out most about Alexa is her determination to create a different life for herself and her child. She has endured circumstances that could have easily taken away her hope, but she continues moving forward, working on herself, caring for her family, and finding purpose in helping others feel stronger too.

Alexa and her son would love to make their home feel festive this year, but they simply don’t have extra money in the budget for holiday decorations. Her son came up with the creative idea of choosing a black Christmas tree they could decorate for Halloween first, then transform for Christmas, letting them enjoy it for two holidays instead of just one. It would give them something special to decorate together, create memories around, and look forward to each year. For Alexa, this tree would mean bringing some holiday magic into their home without adding another expense to an already tight budget.
