Mikhaio is a young child staying with his mother at a friend’s home while they wait for an opportunity to enter a shelter. His family is going through a difficult housing transition, and his mother is working hard to provide stability and meet his needs during an uncertain time. Despite the challenges they face, Mikhaio’s mom remains focused on keeping him safe, comfortable, and cared for. With limited space, resources, and finances, even everyday necessities can become difficult to replace as he grows.

Mikhaio can’t wait to celebrate his first Halloween, and he’s picked out the cutest mushroom costume from Super Mario Bros. He loves the idea of matching his mom, who will be dressed as Mario. It’s going to make their Halloween even more special, and they’ll have such fun memories of their first celebration together as a little family!
