NaRiah is a mature, determined, and goal-oriented young woman who has worked hard to develop the skills she needs to build a successful future. Through her transitional living experience, she has learned valuable life and home-management skills, including taking responsibility for herself, managing daily tasks, and preparing to live independently. She is focused on her future and understands that the choices she makes today can help shape the life she wants tomorrow. When NaRiah sets her mind to something, she is willing to put in the effort and stay committed until she reaches her goal. She is also learning to advocate for herself, manage responsibilities, make thoughtful decisions, and navigate the challenges of becoming an independent adult. As she prepares to age out of foster care and begin the next chapter of her life, NaRiah is determined to create stability for herself and build a future she can be proud of.

An iPad would be a meaningful gift for NaRiah as she continues preparing for independence and building the future she wants. Having her own device would give her a valuable tool for schoolwork, reading, continuing her education, and exploring new interests and hobbies. It would also help her stay connected to the relationships she has built in her current facility, allowing her to FaceTime with peers and communicate with members of her support team. Having her own technology would encourage NaRiah to take responsibility for caring for and managing an important personal belonging. Most importantly, an iPad would provide NaRiah with both practical resources and meaningful connections as she takes important steps toward living independently.
