Roy is a child who is mature beyond his years. He helped take care of his sick older brother and watched him slowly pass away. After his brother's death, Roy was removed from his home due to severe abuse and neglect. He has difficulty making sense of the traumatic experiences he witnessed. Despite this, Roy is a bright young man who enjoys being active and playing outside. Currently in foster care, he struggles to find his place. He has a wonderful, creative mind and enjoys fixing things. Roy is learning to appreciate the joys of childhood, such as riding a bike.

Roy has field trips and special outings coming up, and he wants to bring along a water bottle that keeps his drink cold the whole time. He picked out this one himself, and the paracord handle makes it easy to carry on the go. It's his very own bottle, chosen just the way he wanted it.
