Michael is a talented cello player. We attended his Christmas concert and witnessed his talent firsthand! He comes from a low income family and despite some fundraising efforts by his grandmother, he still does not have enough money to travel to New Orleans with his orchestra to participate in a competition. His grandmother sent Boys Town a message expressing pessimism that he may not be able to go. This teenager has overcome a variety of hardships in 2016 and his involvement in music has made a positive difference which makes his situation even more critical.
Michael is 22 years old and lives in DC
For the past several months, Michael has been receiving behavioral health therapy at Boys Town Washingon DC. He comes from a low-income family and his grandmother is his primary provider. Michael attends a local high school for performing arts. He is a very talented cello player.
