Gift Card for Ian who desperately needs clothing and personal care items

Posted Mar 30, 2017
Ian was placed in a Residential Treatment Facility by his adoptive family, who later refused to pick him up. Ian has minimal personal belongings, and the few clothes and shoes that he does own have become tattered and worn. We are requesting a gift card from Target or Wal-Mart to help replenish his wardrobe with fresh new clothes and shoes that will match his winning personality. New clothing for Ian will give him a boost of confidence when recruitment efforts for an adoptive family begin.

Ian is 16 years old and lives in PA

Ian is a courageous nine year old boy with a creative imagination, and a smile that will light up the room. Ian has suffered significant loss in his young life, as he was recently faced with an adoption disruption. Ian is currently in a Residential Treatment Facility, and is working hard to cope with grief in a healthy way. Despite the loss in his life, Ian is an optimistic and friendly young boy with a lot of love to offer. He is charming and always willing to help others and share what little he has.

"The Salvation Army Children's Services extends its gratitude to One Simple Wish and all of the incredibly generous wish granters who fulfilled Ian's wish in such an amazing way! Ian will be shopping for new clothing and personal items. In addition to meeting Ian's basic need of having clothing that is in good shape, is season-appropriate, and is properly sized, we know that being able to shop for and choose his own clothing is going give him confidence and remind him that he is deserving of respect and of being treasured.
