Danielle is a bright 19 young girl from New Jersey studying at the University of New Haven. She entered foster care when she was 15 and was placed with a loving foster family who was able to teach her a lot of what she carries with her today. She was able to be reunified with her biological family and has since lost touch with her foster family leaving her with little support. Danielle is a resilient young lady who pushed passed many challenges to go to college in Connecticut. In college, she studies hard while still taking on internships and volunteer opportunities. Danielle is a forensic psychology major and wants to help transform the juvenile justice system and criminal justice system as a whole. She wants to use her personal experience to help other kids who have been in the foster care system.
