After her mom passed away, Theresa spent a lot of time in foster care. She is now a resilient young women with an amazing work ethic, determined to make a better life for her and her young son. In addition to being a single parent, Theresa also cares for her ill father while working two jobs and taking classes toward a degree in criminal justice. Her hard work recently paid off when she purchased her own home, a life-long dream! A washer and dryer would have a big impact on Theresa’s day to day life as she is constantly going from home to work to class to her dad's. In her words: "If I was able to have my own washer and dryer, it would help me tremendously by giving me more time: More time to study, more time to help my son with his school work, more time to clean the house, more time to cook dinner….it would allow me to do multiple tasks at one time! I would also be able to spend less money on laundry. I would greatly appreciate a washer and dryer for my family!
