Crossroads ProgramsJessie is an 8 y/o male that has been residing with our program since August 2016. Jessie is only in the second grade because he did not have the opportunity to be in school until he was 7 years old. Jessie loves school and is eager to learn. His goal is learn "enough'"so that he can be in the third grade with the rest of his peers his age. He is struggling with the fact that he is the oldest and biggest kid in his classroom. His favorite superhero is Spider-man. He enjoys playing basketball, reading, and learning religion.
Jessie loves to be active and play outside. He wasn't able to have a bike before because he needed to learn about safety (ie, strangers, following rules). Jessie has made significant progress in these areas and now is excited to be able to pick out his very own bike and helmet! Jessie is on the Autism Spectrum and having a bicycle will encourage him to be outside and interacting with his peers so that he can continue to learn and grown
