Crossroads Programs, a community-based organization located in Willingboro, NJ, was founded in 1978 through a collaboration of interfaith community leaders committed to providing shelter to runaway and homeless youth. Incorporated as a private, non-profit organization, our mission is to empower youth who are homeless, abandoned, abused, or at-risk to lead healthy, productive lives. We serve youth, ages birth to 21, through our own residential facilities and through community-based caregivers. Over the years Crossroads’ expertise in sheltering youth has expanded to include clinical services for all types of at-risk youth. We serve approximately 250 youth annually in nine residential programs and two community-based programs, which are featured on our website: www.crossroadsprograms.org. The youth come from all over the state of New Jersey, primarily central and southern New Jersey. We strive to reunite youth with their families. When that is not possible, we help them transition from the child welfare system, or from the streets, to healthy, productive young adulthood.
