Laptop for Alexa who recently aged out of foster care and now has her own apartment

Posted Oct 20, 2017
Alexa turned 18 in July and is attending college classes while working full-time. She very recently moved into her own apartment and hopes to get her driver's license soon. She wants to buy a car in the near future. A new computer would be one less worry and expense as she starts life on her own!

Alexa is 24 years old and lives in NC

Alexa is a mature, articulate college student who has struggled financially and emotionally since aging out of foster care in July of last year. Alexa is highly motivated girl. She graduated at age 16 from high school while earning college credits. She did this while being the primary person raising her four siblings. She worries constantly about her four younger siblings who remain in foster care. She had a large hand in raising them and was in many ways the only true “mother figure”, especially for the two youngest. She is attending college, living on her own and works in retail to make ends meet. At work, she loves getting to know to customers and anticipating their needs. She works hard, asks very little from anyone and is very grateful for anything she receives.
