The winters in Riverside can be freezing. Randy doesn't receive the same support other foster youth receive from their counties. Regardless, Randy works incredibly hard in school and works part-time. He hopes to open his own business some day and get his MBA. This wall heater will warm his place, keep his energy bill low, and give his apartment a cool look. He will be very excited to receive this necessary wish!

Randy is a junior college transfer and has gone through a lot. The Foster care system gave him the opportunity to have a better life. If he would have stayed in the care of his biological parents, he says doesn't know where he would be. From juvenile hall, to foster homes and group homes, his experiences in foster care make him who he is. His foster care experience gave him a second chance to get things right in life. His foster care experience surrounded him with friends, family, and mentors, who want to see him succeed. Foster care was a learning experience that was both good and bad, which allowed Randy to grow and become resilient.
