Kris is a young man who struggles daily to overcome a terrible past. Recently, he was successfully discharged from a residential facility where he learned ways to cope without resorting to negative and sometimes volatile behaviors. He has spent the majority of his life as a ward of the state and doesn't know the love of a parent. Despite this, he is doing very well at the moment. He is a big fan of Star Wars and all things superhero. He loves supreme pizza, enjoys playing basketball, and doing outdoor activities with his friends. He would like to join the military and intends to pursue this upon graduation.

Like many kids "in the system," Kris has often had hand-me-downs or has simply done without things other kids take for granted. Staff who work with Kris say that he is very appreciative of even the little things - such as getting candy at the movies. He has specifically asked for "Black Jordans" and he would be overjoyed to get something so special and new, and something that is all HIS.
