The Morris County Youth Shelter provides safe, temporary residential care to at-risk adolescents who are struggling to effectively cope with a myriad of challenges in their lives. These youths are placed at the Morris County Youth Shelter via the family court system due to DCP &P removal, abuse, and neglect, homelessness, family dysfunction, & so on. The Morris County Youth Shelter takes pride in its highly effective structured environment where these at-risk adolescents can increase their educational opportunities and learn new and improved life skills and healthy living habits. A large part of our program involves building kids’ self-esteem. A highly successful technique we use is to provide motivational incentives. This encourages them to thrive by allowing the kids to display their talents and individuality in healthy and positive ways.
