When she was in high school, she was very involved in leadership and sports, and has been involved on her college campus as well. Melissa has overcome a tremendous amount of adversity over the years but still maintains a positive attitude.
Melissa works incredibly hard pursuing her degree. She is an amazing student leader on-campus, a writer, and a spoken word poet. However, with the rising cost of books she would be very grateful to receive assistance with her books.
