Chevy loves learning and has expressed her desire to excel academically in school. She is enthusiastic about going to school, meeting her teacher, and making new friends. Although she is 7 years old, she has not experienced formal education like many of her peers and is concerned that she may not do well in school. She stated she was home schooled, but her education was consistently disrupted because they had to borrow a computer which wasn’t always available to them. It is her wish to have a laptop computer, so she can do her homework and utilize other educational sites to close the learning gap between her and her peers. Having her own computer will give her the self confidence that she needs to be successful in school because she understands she is behind. In addition, she would also like to use it to research, deepen her understanding about topics of interest, and have fun creatively.
