A proper booster chair for Renee to help her with sitting up correctly while she eats.

Posted Oct 5, 2018
Overall Renee is about a year behind in her development and has difficulty with both cognitive and motor skills. One of these is her ability to chew and swallow food properly. Her speech therapist is working to increase her ability to eat regular food, but she can only eat small bites and gets a significant amount of nutrition from a feeding tube at night. In order for her to eat properly without re-flux, she needs a chair to keep her back straight. When she visits with her biological parents, they do not have a proper chair, so this limits her visits to two hours at non-meal times. The visits cannot be lengthened until she has a proper chair. With the proper chair for Renee to sit in, she will be able to spend a much longer time with her parents and be able to enjoy a meal as a family!

Renee is 8 years old and lives in NC

Renee is a sweet little girl who was born prematurely. She has learned a few words and is able to use sign language to communicate some of her needs. She has a strong spirit - In order to walk she wears braces, but that doesn’t stop her. She has beautiful eyes and a winning smile and captures the heart of everyone she meets.
