Melissa is an emancipated foster youth who is an incredible artist. Melissa is an art major at a 4-year university and has the opportunity to complete an internship in animation this summer, which is her dream job! Melissa needs an iPad Pro and an Apple Pen so that she has portable access to Illustrator and Procreate for her digital artwork and portfolio distribution. This is a huge investment for a young college student, let alone one who has aged out of foster care to face the challenges of adulthood alone.
Melissa is 25 years old and lives in CA
Melissa aspirations to go to graduate school and further her education. When she was in high school, she was very involved in leadership and sports, and has been involved on her college campus as well. Melissa has overcome a tremendous amount of adversity over the years but still maintains a positive attitude.
