Nasiyah is currently in the custody of her Grandmother, who also is caring for three other, younger grandchildren. Nasiyah obtained a part-time job in order to help out and be able to buy things on her own without having to ask her Grandmother. She expressed to her caseworker that she would love a bicycle for a few reasons. Nasiyah was diagnosed with Diabetes and has begun to learn how to better take care of herself, thus having a bicycle would be good exercise. She would like a bicycle so she can get to school and work on her own and be one less stressor for her Grandmother to have to worry about.
